Default my Windham SRC

Got a Windham SRC and my aspiration is to make it as light and agile as possible. Right now I'm using Magpul buis sights, VTAC 2 point sling and Pmags. I'm thinking changing out the fore end could dramatically reduce felt weight and I like the single piece units available on the market. But what about my gas block? Any other parts that would make a noticeable difference?

Honestly if you wanted a lightweight AR you should have bought a pencil barrel from the start. Nothing says muzzle light like a skinny barrel. Of course you can shave off quite a few ounces replacing or cutting down the A2 FSB and going with an ultralight rail/tube.

The biggest issue with assembling an AR isn't so much getting the parts together right - it's getting the right parts together. You'll remember the quality of a gun long after you forget how much you paid for it.
