Due to current financial state at my household, and Christmas etc coming up, I sadly have to put off the build for an unknown length of time.

Hopefully come summer I will have it finished. Hopefully.

Anyone have any recommendations about a brand/type of scope ring to mount a normal rifle scope? Also what type do I need I to look for? I know I want a Nikon, any recommendations?

Scope. You've already picked nikon which is a great brand. I have a 3x9pro staff on my wifes AR. We both love it. Clear glass, holds zero. No reason to spend more money unless you want more zoom.

We are using the Burris PEPR mount. Also is great. We had to use nailpolish on the screws to keep from backing out but after that it's wonderful.

Nikon also has new mounting rings out. They look pretty cool. I would trust them.
