Well I'm hoping it doesn't pass either. Pretty certain it won't. Just erroring on the side of caution. Either way there's still enough out there for the manufactures to continue making parts. My advice would be to try and grab a lower receiver and wait out the rest of the this mess. That way you could still build one should sh1t hit the fan. They're not restricting parts just whole rifles [for the time being anyways]. You'll be able to piece one together eventually. Their no longer trying to get rid of grandfathering, just requiring you to register the firearm with the ATF (if the bill is gonna pass)

Buy 5 boxes everytime I go past a Cabelas for the past year and half. Something just told me I should do it.

Went to a gun show yesterday and the place was full of people and off brand AR15s selling for $1,450 to $1,850. The few Colts I saw we're selling for $2,400 and up.

I went back today and nearly all of the ARs were gone except for a few of the lower end models. I couldn't believe it! So the panic is still going on.

I've been stocking up for quite a while, too. Started right after the 2008-9 panic ended.

The biggest issue with assembling an AR isn't so much getting the parts together right - it's getting the right parts together. You'll remember the quality of a gun long after you forget how much you paid for it.

I'd wait a few months and let this hysteria die down.

Then get a Colt 6920 or 6940.

yep.

Got two 5 gallon buckets of MilSurp brass, 15K Remington 7 1/2 primers, 20k Remington 55 grain FMJ bullets and two unopened eight pound bottles of H335 squirrelled away!. (need to pick up some more primers)

Oh, and about 2500 factory. Buy a little every month and it adds up.

Yelled out "SOLD" without even knowing the price. Got for $1,097 plus tax. Needless to say I was a happy boy. The clerk said it was the first Colt LE6920 they had gotten in 3 months.

Went to a gun show today and only saw 1 LE6920 and they wanted $2,400.
That's awesome !! Where are you located ?
