I purchased my 1st ar , dpms oracle .223 optics ready carbine , nib, 2 mags tax drive out 713.00 $ .put a 3x9 simmons 40mm and 4 clamp weaver rings. bore sighted ...shoots to point of aim at 25yrds .will fine tune to 2 inches high at 100 when I get some time off and hopefully a break from the 100+ temps here in east tx . Any insights into hunting ammo for deer and hogs ? the razorback ammo looks promising in the ads but this is my first .223

69-72grain soft points. do NOT use hp ammo. 69-72 whichever ammo your gun stabilizes and is accurate at your desired max hunting distance.
