Defaultmy AR

JD LOL, no there is no problem with the AR, I got all of that sorted out already. It does not like some of the ammo I was trying. I got ahold of an old Army buddy of mine and he sent me 4 different types of hand loads he had made up for me, and I got the AR performing wonderfully, half inch groups at 100, on iron sights. He has 500 rounds on the way to me now. My new issue is, if I want to shoot pigs, it is always at night. My Nikon on my 7 mag lets me see the pigs, when I cant see them with my naked eye, so now I want some kind of scope on the AR as well. God I hope all of this is making sense. I did buy a quick disconect mount to put the scope on, and I kept my flip up iron sight just incase I might need them.
BTW it is a new Stag Arms all stock. I have put about 300 rds through it.

Thanks JD, but it still sends me back to the original question. What optics should I be looking st to put on it. In the Army I had a 4x ACOG, and loved it, problem is now I can't afford one. So what would you suggest?

You might consider a Millett DMS-1. I just bought one, having it shipped to me right now.

It's gonna end up costing about $200 for the optic and $200 for the mount.

They are a 1-4 power scope.

I will let you know how it works out but I have heard mostly good about them.

If this optic doesn't work out I will most likely just get an Aimpoint.

Thats great, and please let me know how it works out. I have already bought an Aimpoint M2, found a real one off of another forum for dirt cheap(yes it is used). I will have my LaRue mount in a week or so, then I can let you all klnow what I think.

I got it. So far I am impressed. However, I have decided to put it on my 20".

I will be writing up a review for it on my blog eventually.

I think I am going to add an Aimpoint to my shortest carbine.

Here is a picture for you though.
