Do I have to worry about lip wear on plastic mags?
I would put one Cammenga easy mags against two P-Mags any day and feel very comfortable.

$15 and they are made of spring steel, not plastic, which will only benefit you in those cold Pa winters.

I traded three race takeoff slicks for 20, 30 round mags from a friend and 5 were loaded.

I'll send you a couple of Cammenga's when you are ready. DoctheRoc tried them on my recommendation and the (1) sent him for trial. He bought 20 and sent me a new one back.

the only issue i have with cammegas is they are LOOOOOONG for a 30 rounder and will not fit in most mag carriers. they are also difficult to use off the bench. they also do not work with 458socom.

they work damn well but are heavy.

i use pmags as they work fine and are cheap. ive got some cammegas but they arent part of my ohsht gear due to weight and length. stay away from the pmags with the round count windows they dont work in well in extreme cold. i have never heard of feed lip issues with the pmags due to wear.

i had one out of spec pmag that would volcano rounds, magpul replaced it.

This is where the learning curve comes in...

I have a MAC-11, zytel mags. The bolt rubbing back and forth over the feed lips wears the lips out over time. They sell steel covers for the lips, to extend their life.

Does the BCG not come in contact with the magazine in the AR realm?
