Default Which Mags

Sorry, I am kinda spamming the new thread section...

Anyways, whenever i get my first build done I am going to need some mags.
I like the Pmags and all, but what i really like is just the standard GI Look. reliability is not a big problem because i would throw magpul followers and enhanced springs in all of them. I hear that Brownells makes some pretty good mags, but I want to hear your guys' opinions.

The Brownells mags are excellent. You can get them with Magpul followers, chrome sil springs, and ranger floorplates right from Brownells.

Another excellent mag is made by CMMG. They are GI profile mags, but have the proprietary CMMG followers (steel and stainles steel) and ceramic coated triple wore braided springs. Very slick, high reliability mags.

The CProducts mags also come with the Magpul followers. The best deal I've seen on them is from 44Mag.com and they work great.

I approve of this post 100%. I have bought and used both discussed and they both have run very well in my AR's.

CMMG was approached directly, but this forum, about two years ago when we had adopted a S.F. group in the sandbox. The guys could not accept new magazines, for whatever military reason, but they wanted the CMMG springs and followers.

CMMG sold us 100 sets of the followers and springs at practically cost which for them to do when we were nobody to them and only had a promise we were sending them to the 'Stan, well, that was pretty damn cool of them.

Just sayin'

Best deal I've came across was the bulk lot of 100 mags for $599.99 from Copes.

Pick up a few USGI 20rders too. Great look and very useful. I have a couple stamped Colt and love them. Also have some NHMTGs. All my 20rders work great.

So I was on Bravo Company's web site last night and saw some of their branded mags... they come stock with magpul followers, and they are slightly cheaper than the brownells mags. Anyone know of their quality?

I use AR Stoner mags from Midway USA.I take them apart, polish the followers slightly, and have never had a failure to feed with one. Cheap, well made, and dependable. What more can anyone ask for?
