Default Magpul MOE question

Im wanting to use a short AFG with my MOE hand guard but I cant seem to find any info about how long the rail needs to be to attach it . Anyone got a clue how much rail its going to eat up , This will be on a Carbine length
Thanks
PH

Better, lighter, cleaner looking. Impact Weapons Components

IWC makes great ****. I always check them first for everything.

Its a nice piece but I have wrist issues and holding the forearm normal hurts my wrist after a while , I need just a little angle for some relief , I really dont care for the looks of the AFG but it is about the pefect angle for me

A 7 - 9 rail section should work. I actually prefer the AFG. I have a Tango Down on one of my 5.56's - the AFG is more natural imo. Of course every one has one of those - opinions.
