I've got a bushel basket of 30 round AR-15 magazines, and almost as many 20 rounders.

Yesterday, I bought 20 more Colt and Magpul 30 rounders. And a bunch of floorplates, springs and followers. They're still relatively cheap, and readily available. Next year, they may not be available at all, or they may double in price.

Well, the amount of clips you is good. I comend your for that. However, your flaw was in the purchase of all that other crap. You're never gonna use it, just burn it!

I'll be stocking up on more mags and ammo as funds allow. If I'm really frugal their might be a billet AR10 receiver set in my near future as well

I got an "S" ton of mags for the AR. Last count was 25 Cammengas and about 40 of other various types.

Been thinking about adding an AR-10 to the mix as well. The early poll results in Sept will probably add weight to that decision. I was thinking about doing something crazy like a .30-06 or bigger variant. Something with just runaway train impact at 800 or 1,000 yards down range. I mean a real artillery piece.


And then there is the 1911 that is in the cue waiting to be built.

you need at least 4 Beta mags

That Bad News .338 is awesome, but the ammo is expensive and several parts are proprietary to them. Not something I want to rely upon in a bad situation.

I think it's JP industries that is making uppers in .30-06 and .260 and 7mm. 7mm might be cool because I have my big bolt gun chambered for it as well.


I don't know. Mi got this new job and I have time during the day for research. Plus it should thoroughly freak out the local granolas when they walk into my cube and see me studying weapon designs.

If you ever end up leaving that new job you should lay out schematics/designs for guns, bombs, and maps of the workplace. Post them on the walls, use stickies to make notes, add times for tactical manuevers ...

I might not need the spare parts, but my neighbor might. Or my son, or some other ally if the SHTF.
