So i found some M4 blemished uppers for sale. They have the M4 feed ramps machined into them to be used with a barrel with the M4 barrel extension. Is that a good way to go? Pros/cons?

Not a horrible way to go. Who are they from? and what kind of blemishes? What kind of price for blemished ones vs. unblemished? Just make sure the blemishes aren't elongated pin holes, jacked up threads for the barrel nut or other mechanical problems.

They are $99 from BCM. They were display models, have scratches, most had barrels mounted to them

BCM blemished receivers are fine. They would stand behind it if it had a mechanical issue. I'd do the deal.
