an M4, or an M4 copy? a true M4 is select fire and not legal for civilian use.

then you are looking for an M4 copy.

what type of AR do you currently have?

my older Bushmaster is an M4A2 Patrolmans Carbine. has the M4 style 16" barrel and the six position collapsable stock.

If I'm not mistaken, what axxe55 has is about as small as an ar15 legally gets for us normal folk. Unless a sbr is legal where you are, but that's even more money.

you can go with a shorter barrel on the AR's if you permanently attach a brake or compensator to the barrel that make it equal 16" OAL. that means the brake or copensator have to be pinned and welded to the barrel.

anything less than a 16" barrel requires a tax stamp from the BATF for a SBR.

Easy, order a 16" light profile, mid gas system barrel. FSB or gas block your choice. FSB add some nice mid hanguards, MOE is great. Gas block, put on a free float tube and some sights. Check psa for sales on above parts.

Order an m4 carbine stock with tube, buffer and spring. Instant m4 clone as short and light as possible without a tax stamp...

Or just go this route and add to your current lower. Instant m-forgery!

Or this for the free float look!
