Low pro gas block question

I just orderd a UTG mtu 012 low profile gas block for my new barrel . The new barrel does not have the holes drilled for the FSB pens . The block to my understanding has Allen head screws to tighten the block , my question is will this block work the way I'm thinking . The block also what looks like holes for pens also along with the Allen head screws. Will it work? Thanks

Yes, some better than others but it will work. Just be sure that the port in the block and the barrel port are properly lined up. The barrel port is sometimes drilled to allow for the hand guard end plate so be sure to allow for that extra 1/8" or so between the block and the "shoulder" on the barrel.

There are several threads here on methods to measure out and properly align the gas block.
