I wasn't aware that AR-47 meant any AR in 7.62x39mm.

I have been told that they do not work well. Something about light strikes on the firing pin. But I was looking at uppers only if that means anything.

That seems to be what I am finding out....is there a particular classification for an AR chambered in 7.62x39?

I have seen several different varieties...some take AK mags...others have the "straighter" AR style mags.

From what i have read, the magazines are the primary problem and there are hopes that the newer 7.62x39 AR's with modified receivers to accept more curved AK-type magazines will perform more reliably.

There are review available on the LAR-47 model from RRA.
