Dick,

I will take photos of my wifes when I get home in a couple of hours and you can see how it mounts and what it looks like. the more information on you options will make it easier on deciding on what you want. I will post them on this thread.

Dick,

Here are the photos of my wife's patrol rifle I added the rail to. As you can see you can attache any number of Bi-pods that attach to a picatinny/weaver rail system in a matter of moments.

Pic 1 is the SUR with the rail and rubber rail covers
Pic 2 is the SUR with the rail covers removed
Pic 3 is the rail on the SUR, close up
Pic 4 is the rail system (nuts, screws, rail and sling piviot all included in the package)

Hi;

This is the M15 we've been discussing and again thanks for all your comments. I'm learning a lot. The most important thing I learned was I didn't learn enough BEFORE I bought the gun.

Links to a couple sites that sell Handguard Rails:

Midwest Industries AR handguard rails

Ergo aluminum handguard rails

You will need to either add one of those types of rails to the bottom handguard - OR - replace your handguards with a 4-rail drop in assembly.

For example:
Ergo Z-rail drop in handguard

YankeeHill Machine rail handguard

Note: the above are drop in replacements for your plastic handguards. They will provide a mounting platform for bipods, vertical grips, lights, etc.

OR...add a rail to the handguard - like Dzscubie's picture above - and that will give you a mounting platform for your bipod also.

See the rail mounted under my lower handguard on this picture.
