Default Live round stuck in battery...

After shooting over 50 rounds through my Ar15, this round jammed. I cannot pull open the charging handle... this thing is locked up tight. I put it on safety, & removed the upper from the lower & cannot find a way to solve this. Do any of you have a solution that doesn't involve a gunsmith, or is this too difficult ?

Try your best without breaking your charging handle but if it's stuck super tight just take it into a gunsmith and have them process your warranty if it has damaged parts

Thanks, Shooter. I'll do some tugging & pulling on this thing & a visit to the 'smith if I can't get it.

The technique used to cycle a round stuck in battery is known as "mortaring."

This 15 sec. video explains it a lot better than I can:

This technique works like a charm, but SAFETY FIRST! Be sure you are in a safe location, and watch your head to keep it away from the muzzle!

Good luck!
