I have looked for this thread for 25 minutes and Im going to bring this back from the dead . Ever since the ban scare , Lower manufacturers have cometh out of the wood work especially the billet lowers and poly lowers . Yeah this would make a good sticky! In fact a few AR stickies are very long in the tooth - time to be retired and replaced.

Oberland Arms is still in business. I called them personally while deciding on which AR to buy. Did they have a factory in the States?

Let us talk about the foreign companies. For Germany there are five companies that make ARs. Heckler and Koch and Sig also make ARs. The three dedicated AR companies are...

Oberland arms. They have a black label AR which are made of different brand parts to keep it cheap. They start around 1200 euros. They have higher quality which start around 1900 euros.

Schmeisser. Most of my friends own a Schmeisser. Better quality then the Oberland Arms.

Hera Arms. My choice in AR. Their ARs are called 15th Dynamic. Named after the 15th Roman legion that guarded Germany. Rifles start around 2000 dollars. Also better then Oberland Arms. Mine was also tuned by Pro Tuning, and I chose the color.

Select AR builder on site to make your own.
