Default Lets talk about red dot optics for your AR

I have a few and to be honest with you my cheapest is my favorite and I will show you exactly why. First all these pics were taken from the same distance 4" from camera to glass so everything was fair . I dont need to explain why I made my favorite choice, you should be able to tell from the pics. If you guys would like to add pics of something different so we have more to compare to, put your cam on Macro and take a pic 4" away from the glass .

First is a PA micro dot , great little unit and PA customer service was great when I had a issue . 1 yr warranty . Battery life is not that great I left this one on for 2 weeks on purpose to see how it would do and it was dead after 2 weeks at 4 on the brightness

Second Vortex strike fire , I really like being able to change the dot color at the push of a button and the NV really works great at night to keep from glaring off the inside of the glass . Lifetime warranty and waterproof to 15 meters . I had to call them to get the waterproof depth and I think the guy on the other end thought I was crazy for asking and was waiting for me to ask about sending it back in . LOL Also great battery life due to the 6 hr auto shut off if you do leave it on

Third and my favorite ATN Ultra Sight . This is a older unit not the new digital unit . It has 4 different reticles with the turn of a knob and works great even in bright daylight . Never had to use their customer service but I have heard they are great to work with . 2 yr warranty . Great battery life I have left this thing on for 9 weeks in the safe on 3 and the battery was still like new

Now if u shoot with both eyes open you will hardly notice much of any of the housings on any of them. I just like the open look when looking thru a optic especially on CQ. rifle . Anyone else have a pic they would like to throw up with a view thru ¿

Anybody with the Vortex Sparc? I like this. It really shows what your view will be.

The spark is going to be pretty close to the PA micro dot . They are about the same size. I would like to see some aimpoint and eotechs up here and some 1X acogs. Help us out fellas

I use an EOTech and love it. I've been using them since 2007. I prefer the D1 reticle over the A65 but I can't get the D1 anymore from EOTech. I currently have the OPMOD EOTech EXPS2 on my Sig 556 SWAT Patrol.

I'm also running an ATN ultra sight but the digital version. Mine looks different than yours though. Yours looks much like a C-More and mine looks like this

EOTech

Is my vote and has been for years! Fastest Sight I have ever used. Not to mention if the screen gets clogged with mud or snow as long as there is any open screen available you can put the reticle on the target.

EOTech and Aimpoint Comp ML-3 are my choice for a RDS.

ACOG is even better, far better, IME.
