Lake City ammo?
 

Found around 100 rounds stamped lc 92 at a yard sale and bought them for $30. Is it safe to shoot them through my colt? They are probably reloads but I'm not sure.

Have your buddy shoot one first.

30 cents a round at a yard sale? Hmmm... I know there is a crazy amount of demand right now, but I wouldn't have spent at 30 cents a round at a yard sale. That is almost retail.

Sounds high to me also. I never shoot unknown handloads. When I find handloads of unknown origin I pull the bullets dump the charge and reload with my powder. It is easy to dbl. charge a .45 ACP the results can be dangerous.:eek:

Look at the primers. LC ammo should have brass colored primers that are crimped in. A reload will probably have a silver colored primer and the primer pocket crimp will be removed. Post a pic of the case head stamp for further.
