Default keymod rail question

Are all key mod rail components uniform and interchangeable or are they proprietary and only for that rail?

They are all supposed to be uniform. I say supposed to be because there are probably some 1's and 2's that are different.

The actual keymod system itself should be interchangeable between manufacturers. The differences in component match-ups will be in the contour of the handguards. If a manufacturer makes a component to fit the contour of their handguard, then it may not fit, or look right, on another manufacturer's handguard.
