Default Just wondering

Ok I have a smith M&P 15 22. And was wondering IF I order a new upper reciver in a different caliber with the magazine holder on the lower reciver take the new caliber mag

If you have a mil spec AR 15 lower, then yes the mag well will accept magazines for 5.56 nato, 6.8 spc, 6.5 grendel, 458 socom and other calibers of the AR 15 platform without modification.

the mp 15-22 doesnt have a buffer tube from what i have read so the answer is no. its 22lr only.
