Default Just put a pair of Troys on my DDM4V5 and a One point
Just put a pair of Troys on my DDM4V5 and a One point Blackhawk Sling.

Still experimenting around with the one point sling.
In the army I always carried a 2 point.
I might wind up installing a 2 point since thats what I am used to from back in the day, we'll see.

Here the sights are shown flat and flipped up in different pics.
They are as yet unzeroed but they cowitness pretty closely.

Also I took care to mount them for the largest sight radius possible.
If the Eotech ever runs out of juice I can see my sights through it.

It was a tough call whether to make the DDM4V5 my SHTF rifle or another one.
In the end I went with this one since I got it brand new.

We spend SO MUCH money on guns to have redudancy "just in case" they get outlawed.
We spend SO MUCH on extra ammo so we will always have a stash "just in case" its outlawed..

If we just spent half of that money on supporting the NRA, we wouldn't have to worry about maintaining a stash "just in case"

Very nice. Maybe a vertical grip that stores back up batteries would be a good addition?

Yes it might be.
But this is the original Daniel Defens VFG so I am loathe to replace it.

And I use only the very best lithium AA batteries money can buy, lithiums should give me 1000 hours of use (not the Duracell but Energizer makes an ultrapremium lithium above its "normal" lithium battery, that tests to more longevity than duracell lithium)

Now I have to practice with my new Sling and save for a EOtech for my other rifle

yeah even with dealer discounts the price of an eotech made me cringe. Worth the money though imo.

I wound up getting an Aimpoint Pro for my back up rifle.
The holographic Eotech technology is better, but I love the ultra long battery ife on the Aimpoint Pro

The DD VFG should have a compartment. Coulda sworn mine did. I yanked it off ASAP (can't stand the ergos of these) and upgraded to an AFG. The DDVFG ended up on some rifle I sold shortly thereafter.

Anyway, it should have a compartment. And if it doesn't fit, there's always an ACS stock if a little storage space actually matters.

Why not go for the combination 1 or 2 point slings and you can have the best of both worlds?

I expermimented around wiht the 1 point.
I think I will keep my 1 points ( i have 2) as emergency backups for those guns who dont have slings yet.

My 2 primaries will get 2 points to keep it simple
Besides thats what I used to from back in the day
