Just picked up an AR15
Had the opportunity last week to purchase a long time friends AR14 M4A1.
It came with 6 high capacity mags w/ centerloading magpul/ and 150 brass cased
5.56 rounds.
I was curious as to if I got a good deal @ $880 for everything.
Thanks,
James

Not a bad deal. It isn't exactly an M4 style. It looks like an Israeli clone. CAR stock, A1 upper receiver, M4 barrel and handguards, and innertube sections on grip, etc. several people built these up as parts guns. It's not a bad configuration as long as you want to keep things simple and don't want to run optics or overload it with crap. I like them as a KISS platform.

The lower is from Stag Arms. Not sure about the upper, but the gun seems to be a build.
Were the market stable right now I'd say you paid a bit too much, but given current times its not a bad price.

Looks like a nice piece of hardware, like someone intended to use her like a girl you picked up off of some corner!

what he said! standard mags are 30-rounds. don't buy into the media hype. you have standard, as designed magazines. a high-capacity magazine for that would be a 40-round mag, or a 100-round drum.
30 is the standard.
and as others have said...in this market where ARs are like white buffaloes, you did pretty good. 3 months ago...maybe a bit on the high side.
I just sold a polymer lower (with a non-collapsible stock swapped onto it) and a 20" bushmaster upper to my buddy for $600. A2 style receiver with the carry handle and iron sights.
