There is more behind it and even something that would be great to hand down to your kids or something in the future.
agreed!
there's a bond that can never be broken!
and not only do you get hands on experience, you also gain something i consider almost invaluable...
when you build it yourself you KNOW how it works and all its moving parts and THAT is knowledge that cannot be gained any other way
it'll be YOUR AR-15 and not another one like it will exist

update us on how your build goes

Junho - Your additions look great! YHM makes great stuff, as you know I am a big fan, and it would appear you have become quite the little tinkerer with the AR platform, which is ABSOLULTEY the best possible advice I could give anyone. You have done a great job coming out of the cave and into the bright and shinning light of the Black Rifle!

I haven't skimmed the recent posts on this thread, so it may have been mentioned, but... brownells had a video tutorial for the ar listed in their last email. Not a "buy me" tutorial, but a free web/youtube style tutorial. I'll try to find the link when i have more time.

Yep...look back a few threads, I did post the link to it. If not....here ya go:

http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/GunTech/NewsletterArchive.aspx?x=v&p=0&t=1&i=1103

With this link, and all the threads and advice on here, you now have the power to build the AR of your dreams...or at least one that you can call YOURS. Junho knows that feeling well

And a big welcome back to JD...where'd you go? Sabatical? Shopping? Did you buy me something?

Took my wonderful woman on a cruise to Mexico, the West side this time. I bought you a six pack of cold long necks in a bucket of ice, but it was an average of 103.5F on the patio and I'll be damned if those things didn't dry up before sun down I am afraid.

I owe you something to drink when we get together.

Deal Just make sure it has the worm at the bottom Planning a trip here, too. I'm thinking the Cook Islands this time, but we'll see. Just waiting to get this project off my desk, and off we go. From the sounds of it, the weather held out for you? Heck, I'd be just as happy if I got away from here and sat in the rain on the beach

Welcome back again.

Thank you my friend. Weather was wonderful, the food was excellent ( for the most part ) and there certainly wasn't any shortage of cold booze.

Now here I am in 50 degrees with rain coming in sideways.... LOL
