Its finally finished! My first AR
I got the last pieces today and put her together
total end cost is ~$700
now i need to use the other $300 and get me some rounds
plan on taking it out to the range this sunday
i'll have a range report in afterwards
thanks to everyone that helped out
(JD, slo, and some others who i'm sorry i've forgotten)
Congratulations! That's a great accomplishment for your first time out.
Under $700USD is a great savings. You got some quality parts AND you got to assemble it yourself so you know how the damn thing works. Excellent job.
I am looking most forward to your range report.
However, a word of caution - Once you build your first one, they get damn addictive after that. :D
yeah after building it from scratch i really feel like i know how it really works
i appreciate it alot more
actually i'm already planning on the next one
thinking about getting a nice stainless steel 20" barrel
so i know what you mean by addictive...
Hey man Can you give me a rundown of what all you bought? I am thinking about building one of these now that I have a source of income.

Good looking AR ya got there, Junho. And looks and PRICE wise....great job. Now get out and start enjoying it. Don't forget to pick up some extra magazines, too. ;)
Seriously. I am looking for a range report.
How about that slo - our first child together...
and he has your sights ( er, eyes ).... LOL
i won't be home near my local range until sunday so the range report will have to wait:(
but i'm counting down every second!
will remington be ok for zeroing her/him in?
Ok well i went to the range today and put 50 rounds through it and zeroed it out
at first it was a little low to the left but with a few adjustments...
the last three shots were a beauty
Very nice Junho - That is "Minute of Bad Guy" in any country on the planet. Looks like you built yourself one fine AR there brother.
50 rounds through it - Any problems?
How did it feed and eject?
Any problems getting the brass out and away in time to feed the next round from the mag?
How was the recoil?
All in all - how do you feel about your first build?
