I hate the 5.7 uppers. I really wish they made them function like a standard AR. Now that I would buy.

Hate is a strong word. Why do you "hate " them just curious? Is it an aesthetics thing or function issue?

It's a couple of things. Aesthetics is the major player though. They are so fugly it hurts. But it also changes the familiarity of the AR.

They are a bit on the ugly side I will give you that, but as far as changing the familiarity I have to disagree. Everything remains the same except for where the mag is located. I kind of like the fact that you have a 50 round mag and nothing hanging down.

Once I get out of this state I will either do a 5.7 build or just bite the bullet and buy a ps90.

Changing how the gun feeds and the mag location is pretty substantial. Mag changes are totally different and feeding problems will be different with different solutions. The only real benefit i see is the 50 round mag. But they could easily do that with a drop down mag. Those casings are tiny.

There should be a lot of Gen II Chainsaw lowers hitting Dealers soon, if not already. I am not an FFL, so unfortunately, I will not be able to help you there, but there's your heads-up nonetheless!

Ok so I like ALG Combat trigger much better than standard but still feel creep and with JP springs still feels like 5lb plus pull. Not much better than springs & pull than comes with ALG. Any input without breaking the bank?
