If I remember correctly, the Gen II is not billet. It just has a built in trigger guard. :-)

Correct. And most people thought they are billet cos of the integrated trigger guard and flared magwell. I thought it too at the beginning

Yeah I thought they were billet too until I I looked at the specs before purchasing.

Yes the mag actually mounts on top of the upper, and the spent casings are expelled out of where the mag normally goes. I'd do one myself but can't in my state anymore.
