Snake, no doubt that RRA Winter Trigger Guard will fit your thick S. Florida gloves! Main thing is it looks good too and looks like it installs easy like the GI guard.

Psycho, I bet Magpul has install directions on their site. I got their trigger guard in a recent Daniel Defense LPK but no instructions. I looked at that screw and figured you screwed it in until about 1/16" stuck out, then angled it in the front mount, then installed the rear roll pin as usual. Don't know since I really like the GI trigger guard better myself and with the huge popularity of the Magpul on builds kinda see the GI as 'my signature' on a build!

Psycho, here's an install video that shouldn't get you in trouble. A lot of videos don't point out to protect the receiver ears!

I felt my heart drop out of my rear-end one afternoon as I snapped an ear off of a lower. Support those ears my friend.

Thank you for the tips, for some odd reason I didn't get instructions with the trigger guard and completely spaced didn't think of looking for an install video of it. Either way I did destroy both the pin and the screw trying to get them in but the trigger guard is in great shape. I think the next gun show around here isn't until November maybe I'll try to pick up something there.

Hopefully I'll get to a range on Sunday to get an after action report and let you guys know how the rifle did.

Ouch! That hurts. Did you get a Stark pistol grip to cover the broken ear?

Guess we've all got a few horror stories from our newb days!

Heck, that'd make a great thread if we all bared it all.
