Default I PULLED THE TRIGGER!! Purchased Lower

I am very excited!!!! Yesterday I pulled the trigger on ordering a Spikes Tactical Lower Stripped Receiver in the Punisher model with some OD Green fill in. I understand how busy they are given that turn around will be 90 days.....grrrrr!

But, that will give me plenty of time to research complete uppers and triggers, or if I wanna try to build an upper. Would LOVE to start hearing some input on uppers and triggers.

To be more specific I am wanting to use the weapon for Self Defense and general shooting. Wanting 16" mid-length set up, 5.56 chambering, and 12" free float rail system (I like the look of DD Omega 1 set up) but am open to considerations.

Going to go with an OD Green Magpul stock. Going with Magbul BUIS

Thanks ahead for any help!!

Take a look at Palmetto State Armory uppers. When picking out the options, they have a drop down to select a 12" free-float hand hard.

The SnipersHide link was great Tikki, thanks.

I'm a big fan of BCM and DD for a nice rifle but like we talked about in a previous thread if you have the extra cash a Noveske or Larue would make a good choice.

Rails: tube or quad?

PS don't fall into the trap! K.I.S.S. it your first time out!

Mod it slowly as you go. Think of it as a work in progress.

All you need are mags ammo and a light for SD. Sling is optional imo, but very useful.

I'm thinking rails. I like BCM and DD also. Will be looking at Noveske for sure! Gonna do a complete upper.

Will be holding off on LaRue tactical. Gonba save up later and buy a complete 7.62 probably like the new PredatAR OBR
