Default I just picked up an ATI .410 Upper

no it seems to me that this thing is over gassed, but idk, does any one know if the gas system is adjustable

so far i have only use one type of ammo Rimington Nitro Sporting Clays.

only half of the 25rd box fit the mag, the other half i filed down to fit
about 1 out of every 5 shots is a stove pipe

i dont know if its due to the extreem light weight of this upper but the recoil is like a damn 12g, and im useing and extra power recoil spring with an H2 buffer.

i did try it with a standard rifle lengh stock and tube and things got worse.

all in all im happy with it and i feel i can get the buggs worked out

I hope so too. Thats a lot of things going wrong. Maybe a little use and time will smooth things out.

I found the issue and I will post pix in the am, it was simple, just I have no knowledge of this gas system

A cool note is that the front sight has nothing to do with how it operates, and is only held in place by a set screw, so one could use any length hand guards they wanted to, CAR, mid, or rifle, kinda cool.

I have no knowledge of the rifle or how it works, but if the gas system isn't adjustable, it probably allows a lot of gas through so it will run the light loads; 7 1/2 and the likes.

Is it direct impingement or piston?

Your LWRC rail would work well on that.

How sturdy is the single set screw front sight?

Edit: HOw's the recoil now?

now that its working right the recoil is more than .223 it almost feels like a 7.62x39 uppper.

also this upper is half the weight of the light weight upper i just built. it feels like a toy

the front sight came lose once red lock tight fixed that good, but i would bet if dropped it could move on ya.

the anoing thing is that the flash hider keeps comming lose, even after one shot. there is no shoulder for it to but up to so u just tighten it to the end of the threads.

one more thing, look at the holes going all the way around the silver part on the barrel. when fired gass come out all of these holes and when i fired it for the first time it scared the crap out of me, i thought the barrel split or some thing.

when your hand is on that plastic hand guard and that gas comes out the holes on the bottom it will suprise u.

also after 10 rds i had quite the black spot on my hand.

funny thing about the rails, they didnt fit fight on my model 1 barrel but they fit this, guess its a good thing cause now i dont have to have my hand by the gasses. its just weird as hell to me.
