Should i trade in my ar 15 for a .22 rifle like 2 15-22 for a good trade and 900 rounds of .223 and 5.56 ammo with my triked out ar15? Idk i love my ar.

You won't be able to find reasonably priced .22lr either, keep the AR!

I have both & right now can't afford to waste the ammo rather than can't afford to buy the bullets. Have you noticed the "bare" shelves in your area

i wouldnt sell it if you like it. you might end up needing it fore long....

might look at reloadng. but unless you been saving brass, brass for just about everything is hard to find atm.

i reload and have components for several thousands of rounds of various types but im not shooting anything but cast bullets atm. simply cuz i cant easily replace jacketed bullets.

at some point supply will catch up and when the smoke clears ban wise all the ammo hoarders will start off loading ammo at reduced prices

This is what I did. Go online, or to your local gun store, CMMG makes a 22lr conversion for 223/556 ar15 rifles. All it is, is the bolt group and a mag. You take your standard 223 bolt group out and slap in the 22lr bolt and boom. You have an ar that shoots 22lr and 223. It's perfect to save your 223 but still get the fun of shooting your ar. And the 22lr ammo is a lot cheaper than 223/556. Look on YouTube. CMMG 22lr conversion kit for ar15. It was a great investment for me. Some may disagree.

Definitely get a conversion kit. If this media bashing gets worse (and I think that most of us think it will) you won't be able to pick up another one for less than $1k.

Get that kit, buy a big bucket of .22 lr, and try to enjoy yourself.

It doesn't have to be pretty. It just has to always go bang when I pull the trigger.
