Mike,

The Barretts are fantastic rifles both in the Bolt models and the 107Ms. And it is unbelievable what they will do. Ronnie Barretts plant is about an hour from my place here in TN. Several years ago I was at a Sniper School assisting with a navy unit school. I had several occassions to shoot the 50s but remember one day specificaly. While we were having a little fun and friendly competition. After we dialed our dope in for elevation and the wind we were believe it or not, hitting a 42inch tall E Silhouette (The normal dark green man silhouette) Target standing in a Conex Box door at 2200 meters. Yes I said 2200 meters. You figure the distance in yards and miles. Un frippen believable. I am like JonM if I had a place to shoot one at major distance I would love to have one. And of course if I had the extra cash! Man did you get to shoot more than one round! Almost a sexual experience isn't it!

That didn't end the way I thought it would! The set-up of the story sounded so mall-ninja-ish. I thought the thread was going to be about this d-bag in the desert...

...and then the thread took a turn for the awesome-er!
