250 Grain from a 450 bushmaster. The 223 is too light IMHO. It has been done and will be done again but there are way better calibers on the AR platform to use.

I have a buddy that is using Barnes x bullets in 62 gr. I have some made up but have not busted one yet. He is taking heart shots and everyone has been DRT. I was planning on head shots myself but again, nothing yet.

I put together a 300 BLK with the intention of predator hunting.

.40 S&W is a decent choice. Readily available too.
