Default How can I lenghten an AR stock

I just got a Sig M400 Enhanced AR. It has the collapsible stock on it. But even with it extended all the way back it still feels to short. How can I add to the stock?

How much are you trying to add to it? Have you done a mock up fit test to see what would be comfortable to you? You may just be better off buying an aftermarket fixed stock if it's not long enough. Maybe an added buttpad?

get an A2 stock. thats about as long as it gets.

you will need a few extra parts like a rifle buffer, rifle length recoil spring, buffer tube, stock spacer

the magpul acs-l stock is pretty long at full extension. comparable to the a2 stock

As Jon stated!
The normal 6 position collapsible is around 7.5" around 8 with a buttpad
Mag P around 8" arond 8.5 with a buttpad
And the A-2 Fixed runs around 10.75"
So the Fixed A-2 is probably your fix!
But you are best to buy the kit which comes with the Stock A-2 Buffer and A-2 Buffer Spring and Vented Screw.
Word of caution when working with an A-2 Full Length Stock keep your fingers off of the treaded area when you are unscrewing the stock screw. Or you will have about five razor blade type cuts on your thumb and fingers. The threads are sharp!

for the fixed stock, Bushmaster sells an 'extension', but I think it's just 3/4" or so thick.

Check out the A5 stock kit by VLTOR.
It's longer than your average kit.

And it has 7 adjustable positions, not 6 like every other stock.

Go with that and a larger butt pad and you'll get your 2"

You'll also spend $250
