Between the business and a new baby boy (due to be born Dec 4), I think I am grounded here until after SHOT in January. Very tempting invite though...much appreciated!

Here , Maybe take a look at this . Put a small note book 4x6" in with the BCG and on a page write down your name , your round count per setup , steel or brass ammo , lubrication , what barrel lengths, gas lengths , buffer weights and how it performed with each. It should take a guy 5 minutes or less to fill out unless he is using multiple rifles which really 10 min out of your whole day tops is no big deal . This way the next guy can take a look at how it performed and go back thru the book and see how it ran . When were all done I would gladly or who ever could put it all on a spread sheet for everyone to see .
Now as far as no lubrication , I would love to run it dry but I hate to tear up a perfectly good BCG and keep passing it around until its abused beyond repair and we all know no matter what coating it has it will sh!t pile eventually . So lets keep her lubed up and see what it looks like under normal conditions unless you request we run it dry , Then if it looks good after we get done torture testing it maybe we can get 10 more guys to hit up the offer until it quits. if it quits on me I would gladly replace the gas rings to keep her going to the next guy , I have plenty of them here
My range trip is 7 minutes away and I have several guys that would gladly put it in their rifles also and run it . I will keep track of their stuff in the book so they dont have to mess with it just get out and run the sh!t outta it

like a range log book! Who has it first?

as far as relevant info.

Date,
Beginning total round count, total number of rounds fired. Ending round count.
first name,
barrel make and length, gas system, buffer type, spring type.
Type of ammo, number of rounds per ammo.
Notes section (for recording any stoppages, etc etc) Should inspect the bolt before and after use, pictures might be nice too.

I have one other guy that says if the timings right he has a bushy he would run a couple hundo thru for the test
Also have a 7.62x39 upper but we could only run the carrier not the bolt but the guy that has it says so far it has run 400 rds thru it with only a couple FTFeeds

Impressive. I believe about a year ago, you didn't even own an Ar15. You have been busy! Kudos!

LOL when I do something I do go all out . I have my other sbr stripped lower ready just no barrel yet , when I jumped on the colt stuff real cheap a couple weeks ago it kinda put my .300 blk sbr on the back burner for now .
not all of them are mine but a few friends and family members have obligated to help out here with some of the longer barrel and 7.62 odd stuff . And it helps when you get the steel plates out . Im still a long distance bolt guy myself but the BRD hit me bad
and yes your right just 1 yr ago i was just asking questions about ARs with the intentions of buying just one . WTH happened there
I just call them investments and keep going on with my day

Heck, I just may give it a whirl, but strictly for informational purposes.
