Help with buffer info

Been desperately trying to complete my AR build but parts are near impossible as you all know. Only 5.56 upper I could find w/o paying a fortune was a BULL BARREL. Think it needs a rifle stock vs. a pinned adjustable stock (stupid CT law) but having trouble finding a RIFLE BUFFER TUBE? finally found one on eBay but does not specify commercial or Mill-Spec? Since this is a RIFLE TUBE, does the whole mill-spec/commercial scenario even apply? I'm familiar w/the difference in regards to the adjustable & how to tell the difference but not when it comes to a RIFEL BUFFER TUBE. Installing a Magpul MOE rifle stock & AR-restor buffer-just need the damn tube!!

Please advise? Thanks a bunch. Also curious on opinions regarding it not being right w/the adj. stock & heavy barrel. Any advice is appreciated-my 1at AR build-new to AR's. always been a mini-14 guy,,

I'm not an expert but I think the answer is no. I think Commercial and Mil-spec only apply to collapsible stocks. Someone else will correct me if I am wrong.

i believe commercial, and milspec will have a different rifle tube. simply because its the diameter of the tube that matters. the lenght is simply if its adjustable carbine or rifle. but diameter is based on commercial vs milspec. i would suggest staying in the same group( commercial or milspec) as your stock says it fits.

No such thing as a commercial A2 buffer tube. Commercial or Mil-Spec refers to carbine type buffer tubes...all A2 or rifle length buffer tubes are mil-spec.

Here is an alternative to the A2...a carbine length, fixed skeleton stock.
