Default Hello from Oregon!

Looking to buy an AR-15. I am looking at the DPMS. Any suggestions as to what else I should look at?

I think you could be happy with most any of the name brands.
First decide what features you want in the 'completed AR'
As you look at the different models, check off the items included and price-out the additions that you want.

This method will help you to level set the actual price of your desired configuration.
Things I will be looking for in my next AR.
Flat-top receiver with rail, handguard with rail. H-bar, 6pos stock, etc.....

The biggest issue with assembling an AR isn't so much getting the parts together right - it's getting the right parts together. You'll remember the quality of a gun long after you forget how much you paid for it.
