|  Grrr!! AR fail!!
so today i took the AR15A1 out to the range for some scoped fun with the colt scope. got it dialed in quickly and the first group at 100yds was right around an inch with 55grn fmj. next shot *CLICK* well i didnt hear the click or much else with the guy 2 tables over shooting the barret 416 with compensator...
efected the empty which was a little disturbing. im like sht the camenga mag failed!! load a round bcg wont go into battery. smack it a few times no-go. so i pop the upper take the bcg out and there is no daylight in the barrel!! squib round. now i got a stuck bullet in my favorite AR upper. 
not sure how im gonna get it out. __________________

Insert the Cleaning Rod from the ****** Chamber ******* end!!
Put a slight amount of lube in the muzzle end of the barrel! Like Break-free, G-96 or other good light lube! No Grease! Usually helps a little! Not an excessive amount !! Just enough to wet the rifling's! (Lands & Grooves)
Do not use a steel cleaning rod ! As the old military sectioned rod! NO NO!
They may damage the bore!

One other thing if that is reloaded ammunition? Either way I think I would pull them and check for powder. I assume the primer was ignited on the casing you pulled out? By the way! WAY TO GO! On finding it before it created a terrible situation. You are to be commended for checking things out before continuing. More should follow your example!!!!

unfortunately it is reloaded ammo. its the last batch before i bought a charge check alarm. and ya all of that batch is getting weighed this week before the next trip.
thanks ill have to go find a non-steel sectional. looks like ill just remove the barrel to make it is easier.
its the first mistake ive not caught reloading in 20 years :/ so it CAN and does happen. it was a no powder primed case. __________________

No need to remove the barrel. Just take the upper off the lower and be sure to clamp the "Barrel" not the receiver in a "padded vise" or have someone hold it securely while you attempt to push the projectile forward. (*That is if you meant taking the barrel off the receiver by taking the barrel off?)

Seemed to be an Ammo fail, more than an AR fail.

i am so freekin lucky.
i dropped a cleaning rod down the bore from the muzzle to see just how far down it was and the bullet popped right out!!
now i feel dumb for making a post about it. but maybe peeps can learn from my stupidity

That is great!
No problem on this end! That is why we are all here! Is to help each other when we have a situation. And at least some also may have learned how do take care of a situation and the fact that they learned that those multiple piece military cleaning rods should never be used on a good quality AR or at least one you give a S--- about!
As I said!
"Great Job" on the correct procedure when you thought something was wrong!!! One more round and the "OH BOY!"
