Default Got a Question about my sights

Hey Guys,

I'm the proud owner of my first AR, its is a flat top carbine from CMMG, I have the A-2 front sight and the rear sights are a flip up piece by Midwest Industries, see link for exact product. That brings me too my problem. with that sight and my standard A2 on front, the rifle shoots around 18 inches low at 25 yards. What I need to Know is easiest solution to get her on target. I will also attach a pic of my rifle so you can see the setup in case I didn't explain it good enough. sorry if this is a dumb question, like I said its my first AR. thanks for the help, Kyle

Default Got a Question about my sights

?? Have you tried to take a nail or ink pin to the front sight?
depress the pin and turn the front sight clock wise.
This will lower your front sight which will raise your point of aim?

I know I can adjust it, but will it move enough for that much difference? I mean a foot and a half at 25 yards, thats a long way.

Is your rear sight all the way down at the bottom?
Your on the 0-200 yard not the 300 up?
18" is a lot! I can tell you this.
It only cost you 1 round to find out. :-}
If I remember right its 1/2 inch for ever click so your going to use up a lot of the threads.

My rear sight is not adjustable for elevation, only windage, and the sight has been moved all the way back since that picture. It was only attached then for the pic, I hadn't had it to the range yet to see where I wanted it.
