Was at my LGS today and they had at least 20 AR's on the shelf all at normal prices. Ammo has definitely started to come back. Ammo prices are still a little high. I couldn't resist and picked up a Ruger SR40 I'd been eyeing. A box of American Eagle .40 S&W was $29.00. This is my first .40 so I can't say what a good price is but I know that's gotta be on the high side.

That box of ammo should cost 18.99 - 19.99 if the price was right.

I feel bad because my boss bought a DPMS Oracle and 5 30 round mags, not sure what brand for $2,000 + about 4 months ago. Its the same rifle that I picked up last year for a little over $700. I guess thats how it goes. I was on the reverse when I bought my house in 2005 only my mistake may cost me about $28,000 more when I go t osell it

Ouch! The only reason I grabbed it was because of my new purchase. I had a feeling it was overpriced. No reason having a new pistol with no ammo for it. I will definitely shop around more carefully in the future. I think I did ok the actual gun purchase for $420.00. I might have been able to shop around and save $20 or $30 bucks but the convenience of here and now is worth it to me.

have you ever seen a new AR below 700? I haven't seen a new AR below 900. Prices aren't getting much cheaper than they are now. Everyone who placed their back orders in December and January aren't going to be buying more any time soon. Manufacturers are starting to catch up. If you're gonna buy you can get pre sandy hook prices. Ammo is the only thing in short supply right now.

That's good news! I thought I read somewhere that some knucklehead was pushing for confiscations in the ban legislation!

I fondled my first SAIGA at a dealer in downtown Cape Girardeau - the cape with no seacoast - and soon bought one.

Yea I just got a .40 S&W myself. The Sigma. I have been finding the American Eagle FMJ for around 20 a box. Depends on where you go. My LGS had some others for 35 which I thought was insane, but I noticed while his prices are awesome on guns, his ammo prices are ridiculous. I also ordered some .40 from slick guns for about 20 a box.

My lgs has guns galore when I was home. DPMS flattop was $650. Brand new. Loads of 223 and 7.62x39, still a bit high, but hey it was there. I was offered $1500 for my AR. A little while back, money would have been nice, but it's my only one and I built it. My first build. No go
