Default good deal?

Is this a good deal or should I stay away from this? Are all ar15's made of aluminum? I like the shiny looks more on my guns. Just asking.

i've seen better.. last i saw there blemished lowers were 59.99... several people here ordered them and couldnt find anything... id go that route myself, but the are out of stock right now. check joeboboutfitters.com he has spikes for 90. free shipping. when they are in stock... being these PSA's are in stock its about an average price i think.

IMHO, stay away from the poly lowers. super cheap but i just dont trust them. all others should be 7075 alluminium.

Thank you brother! Another question as I'm new to ar platform. Can I shoot .223 out of 5.56 barrels. And what twist would I be looking for? I just want an AR for under 750-800 to shoot at outdoor range and SHTF.

I bought 2 PSA lowers in 2011 for 49.99 each. PSA makes a very good lower, but by the time you pay shipping and FFL fees, 99.99 is just an average deal. At least it was prior to 11/6/12.

PSA has some complete rifles in you price range, check 'em out.

1 to 7, 1 to 8, 1 to 9, are all good general use twist rates. The faster twist rates handle heavier bullets better.

to expand on this just a little. as gator said, the twist rates only matter a small amount. especially if your looking for a general rifle. if you were wanting to shoot heavy varmint bullets say 69gr, 75gr. you would want the 1-7. if you want to only shoot lighter bullets, 50 to 62gr. 1-9 is great. 1-8 is kind of a mid range... now this is not always true, but more of a guideline. ive shot some 75gr out of my 1-9 barrel and it did good.. but for the most part the faster the twist, the heavier the bullet it likes.
