The Stock comes with a letter from the ATF stating it is legal to own.

The letter doesn't mean they can't change their mind at any moment then come looking for you. It's happened before w/ these sort of stocks.

Why would you be worried about a M16 BCG?

I thought the law included the bcg as part of the machine gun. Then the ATF said it was ok. If the ATF changed their minds about the bcg then it would bea situation like the bump firing stocks.

I'll try to find the information I read and will reread it to double check.

just out of curiosity, why do you think you need an AR15 in full-auto? are blessed with ungodly amounts of money that you can afford the ammo to shoot it? just wondering. i've shot several fully automatic weapons in the past, and i can tell you from experiance, they are fun to shoot, but expensive to own and shoot, plus, IMO totally impractical! after all the years of shooting, i prefer semi-auto because it's legal, cheaper to shoot and own, and almost as much fun, and on a side note, a lot more accurate. but to each his own. these guys are telling you the truth. don't think about buying the parts and try to convert it yourself, because the legal problems are nothing compared to being Bubba's bitch in the shower in the pen!
