I'd be all over that SCAR if they were more reasonably priced, I'd give maybe $1,500, $2,500 is outrageous.

I want to start a newbuild. I think an FN lower would be pretty cool. A magpul lower would be even cooler.

I believe it is based upon FN Automatic Rifle, thus replacing the Browning with FN, and not using the traditional AR term.

I do t think it was m16, it was stripped at the time of purchase. It has a square as a forge marking though... I don't know if that has any relevance.
