Finally broke it in!
I finally got an opportunity to fire my freshly built AR-15 this Saturday! Darn thing shoots like a dream! I went with the advice of some others on this forum, and picked up a super cheap Barska red-dot scope until I can save some cash up for real optics, and I'm glad I did. Went through 100 rounds, with only one fail to fire (light strike on the primer) that I'm quite sure was my fault (first round from a new mag, I didn't "grip and rip" or use the forward assist, I don't think it was all the way chambered). I even snapped the first prairie dog of the season with it!
However, it is painfully obvious that the real limiting factor to the gun's performance was the scope, so hopefully I can invest soon... |
Congratulations and keep shooting. For your next assignment we want ot see a proper range report - pics of the rifle and targets.
Some sexy lingerie clad models might not be a bad idea either :D |

Good news! It's always a relief for the first range test to go well. Now you can have some fun...

Congrats!! It's all downhill from here on. :D
It will start to go uphill again when you start pricing some good optics and accessories for it...then it will be all downhill again ;) |
Congratulations. How do you have your new build set up?
|
Outstanding!! I'm not sure about dressing your AR in lingerie, although they do look good in black as does my wife.:D
|
Ahhhhh, nothing better than that new AR smell.......
With all the comments, you now HAVE to put some lingerie on the AR and take a picture - That would be serious gun porn. |
