EoTech?

Which model of EoTech's are being used out there.

Looking for one.

I Don't need NV, and I am not worried about the 123 Batteries. I like the 512 for it's price point, and the AA batteries, but curious as to which other ones are being used by the general public and why?

Thanks

I use the 512 and really like it.I do need my glasses for long range shooting because the dot is fuzzy without them but good enough for close in work. Mine tracks well and the sight has never shifted. I think all the Eotechs are well built. Just depends on how many features you want and how deep your pockets are.

As noted on another post, I am building a carbine with a flat top and FF hand guard.

I am planning a CT verticle front grip with laser/light combo and I am planning to add a Holographic to the flat top. Might switch out the A2 gas block/sight for a YH gas block and rail style pop up iron sights.

The CT grip uses the 123 batteries. Gonna switch out the stock for a MagPul or similar stock for the extra batterie storage.

Thats is why I am curious about the Eotech's that use the 123 batteries.

You're gonna want to check out the 512, it doesn't have NV, uses AA batteries with a 500 hour life. I'm pretty sure alot of LE and SWAT use the 512. The 552 is mostly for Military use because of the night vision function.

I like mine, make sure its an authentic Eotech though, lots of clones out there.

I purchased my 512 for 350.00 used.

I like and use the XPS. Im very interested in the EXPS (comes w/ a riser mount and side controls).

Have you looked into an Aimpoint? I have a couple of those as well and they work great. The H1 being my favorite due to its small size and weight.

No I haven't looked at the Aimpoints but I will.

Thanks

The cool thing about the Aimpoint is you just leave them on. The battery will last for years even w/ the optic constantly on.

2 x 512's here. One on a RRA 16" AR and one on my Arsenal AK. I chose the512's for the easier to find (i.e. anywhere) batteries. I am very satisfied with the 512's.

Woody,

The EOTech Model 512 is the way to go if you do not need NV compatible!
Just use Industrial Grade Batteries. Seems like recently I have been having a lot of batteries of the normal grade leaking. I wonder if anyone else has been experiencing this. Almost ruined a couple of my optics! But have been putting the industrial grade AA Batteries in lately and had no problems.

Hm, mine turns off automatically after a certain period of time.
