DPMS at WM

I went to my doctors appt. this morning in Alexandria,La. I stopped at the local WM just to look around. In the circular glass gun racks were (2) DPMS AR15's! The price, $596.97 each! I almost had a baby calf! What a time not to have money. :(

Damn, I have seen them on gunbroker for $1500. They are not the best in the market, but I have one, the AP4 model, and I have 5000+ rounds through it without a hiccup. I have a tick (shaking in my right arm), so I am not that good of a shooter these days, but a friend shot sub moa with it. Very accurate. And yes it is staked properly. I know the earlier ones weren't but mine is. Since I have eye and arm issues, I use a Eotech holo sight. Works good for us old guys. LOL

I asked the WM lady if I could see one. It's not a Colt but it sure will get the job done! http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r...thumbs-up2.gif

That's a dam good price. I paid $610 prior to all the hysteria. I think I would have put one on layaway if they still offer that

Time to apply for the WM credit card then

LOL.

By the way, I sold my DPMS tonight less than an hour after posting it for sale on armslist. The flat top rifle, 2 factory mags, 2 poly mags, 100 rounds for asking price $1200.

And truly at this time, $1200 was spot on. Bud's is selling them with just the factory mag for $1100 plus shipping and ffl fees

Man, that's crazy. It's all good though. When prices calm down and all those impulse buyers get their CC bills, the market will be flooded. That's when I will make my move! http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/b...ps8bc688be.gif

Wise decision.

If WM had them for 600, it had to be the sportacle. Not bad guns, but not near an AP4 or an Oracle.

But yet again, if you don't have one and want one, I would go for it. Who knows when this madness will end. And it may not end well.

You can still get custom builds, but it will be 6 to 9 months, and in the 3 grand range.
