If that happens, I don't think anyone will give a rat's ass whether the gun or the bullets are pink or purple polka dotted, as long as it goes boom when you pull the trigger and hits whatever you aim it at.

You can sure say that again Jon. Yesterday two consulates, before that 9/11 and the muslim terrorist at Fort Hood. Tomorrow where will it be? Meanwhile our government apologizes repeatedly and wants to take away our guns.

The biggest issue with assembling an AR isn't so much getting the parts together right - it's getting the right parts together. You'll remember the quality of a gun long after you forget how much you paid for it.

I agree 100%. If all your plans are is shooting at the range.

But there's an old saying among motorcycle riders.
"If you got a $25 head, buy a $25 helmet."

If you think your life may ever depend on your equipment, spend accordingly.

To be honest, I don't think that i'll ever need to use an AR15 to defend my life...but then again, it's one of those things

Do I spend $700 and get a lower end that "is fun at the range"

Or do I spend $300 more and get one that is "fun at the range" *AND* can defend myself/herself.... that I/she don't have to spend all of my/her time explaining to people "Well, its fun at the rnage, dont wanna use it for WAR< but its fun at the range...."

I call it the Ugly Baby Gun =)

Now, all I have to do is convince my wife that looks aren't everything...she married me, she sure as hell should be used to that concept by now!!

I *WANT* her to get an AK47...we don't currently have a 7.62 firearm in the house....And I want one

She did offer me an interesting proposal today...she said "If you give me YOUR colt, you can buy any rifle you want"

Now I just have to decide if I want to part with my baby or not....(the rifle....in case you were wondering, HA!)

The thing about guns is they don't know where they're being shot. If they run 100%, it really doesn't matter much where they are when they do it.

Pink Camo?? That's a oxymoron if there ever was. It might be effective inside a women's lingerie shop.

I watched an episode of Worlds Dumbest Criminals, and what they showed happening in a Victoria's Secret made me think that isn't a bad idea.
