It's a 223....if I've shot over 200 steel rounds would a problem already of occurred?

Not necessarily. Don't go panicking over the DPMS. The main issue most have? We see more complaints of poorly functioning AR's from them than a lot of other brands. This does NOT mean that every single AR they put out is an AR shaped pile of baboon crap, just that they are more likely to be such.
If it works well for you, and shoots to your satisfaction, then I wouldn't worry about it and I'd enjoy it.

I really have been...I've owned bushmaster and double star...haven't noticed much diff. The steel rounds are from cook county sheriffs so I know rounds are reliable.its also 5.56 compatible...what issues should I look for with steel rounds or will it be catasrofic?

If it extracts the rounds when you fire them, you're golden. Biggest issue with steel is getting it stuck in the barrrel.

I've never had that issue with the steel....now I've had that issue with older brass rounds due to lack of lube...but that was 3000 rounds ago....what damage would that cause or does it just make it pain to get out?

It was won in a raffle I was just the first to get to it...strictly luck.....now I just a McMillan .50 the same way lol
