On the old solurthurn anti tank rifles, it was because it had something like nearly a 30 pound trigger.

Read the customer reviews, they might help you out.

A very large number of paintball guns have these double triggers.

We have a few paintballers here, maybe they can chime in and give their two cents on the benefits.

Here's from the description

Lower trigger pull is 55%-60% less than the upper trigger
I'm guessing its so you can have a choice in trigger pull weight without having to adjust the trigger.

Um, leverage and u can use two fingers to spray and pray and not get so tired... Whatch the video of the guy shooting the AR Lower made on a printer. His finger gets real tired after the first coupla hundred rounds.

One of my trainers, who developed bad arthritis in his trigger finger, woulda killed for that in a pistol as he would not give up pistol competion and went to squeezing with his middle finger.

I took my son's hockey team to play paintball recently and noticed something like it on the fancy paintball guns. The experienced players were alternating their trigger finger and middle finger to increase their rate of fire. Some were so fast it sounded like full auto. My guess would be that this uses the same idea.

if you have a nd with a paintball gun no biggee someone gets one in the junk and everyone has a good laugh. nd with a real gun and your going to have some difficult questions to answer with law enforcement... it looks like a great way way to increase the likelyhood of a nd.

I can find lots of stuff more beneficial to spend $230 plus shipping on, like more ammo.
