I bought a full lower today and have been looking at full uppers and my question was does one need an intall kit such as pins, etc to install the upper to the lower. Not seeing much info on this topic. Thanks in advance gang!

if your lower receiver is complete its the part that has the takedown pins.

some uppers come with charging handles and bolt carrier groups some dont

Your complete lower should have pins in it or its not a complete lower ,if it doesnt have the pins chances are it needs springs and detents also

cool thanks. I ordered it and its being shipped to ffl place next to my work. been looking at complete uppers with charging handle and bolt carrier. prol a little easier being my first build. If I end up needing a build kit, can you purchase separatly or as kit, kind of like a stripped lower build kit??

No kit necessary for an assembled upper receiver group, just make sure you get the BCG and charging handle as said before - and rear sight. Of course if there's no front sight you'll need that too.

Saw some full uppers with and without forward assist.
With my first build/purchase would anyone shed some light on whether or not to have one??
