Ok, so let me get this straight.
You already have a Sig 522. Now you want to build an AR, but in .22LR, so that you can have the ability to swap a .223 upper on it when you want to?
So if you already have the Sig, why would you want to build the AR into another .22?
Why not build it as a dedicated .223/5.56, and if need be, buy a CMMG conversion or one of the others for it? That way, at least you would have expanded your available options.
